NHS 111

NHS 111 is a free to call service that was introduced in 2013 to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services. It can help if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do.

The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To get help from NHS 111, you can:

go to 111.nhs.uk (for people aged 5 and over only)

Call 111

When should I call NHS 111?
If you’re worried about an urgent medical concern, call 111 and speak to a fully trained adviser.

For less urgent health needs, contact your GP or local pharmacist.

You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it’s not a non-life-threatening situation.

Call 111 if

you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency
you think you need to go to A&E or need another NHS urgent care service
you don’t know who to call or you don’t have a GP to call
you need health information or reassurance about what to do next
For less urgent health needs, contact your GP or local pharmacist in the usual way.

If a health professional has given you a specific phone number to call when you are concerned about your condition, continue to use that number.

For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, continue to call 999.

Our organisation operates urgent care centres and urgent treatment centres throughout England, providing prompt, accessible, and specialised medical attention to any NHS patient suffering from non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. All of our services are free of charge at the point of delivery. Additionally, we offer a private GP service.

Patient focused, Results driven

“I believe that the most important thing in healthcare is to always put the patient first, to listen to them and to work with them to find the best possible solutions for their unique situation.”

As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, there has been an increasing focus on the need to put patients at the center of care. A patient-driven approach is essential to ensuring that healthcare is of the highest quality and meets the needs of those it is intended to serve.

At the heart of this approach is the recognition that patients are not simply recipients of care, but active participants in their own health and well-being. A patient-driven model recognizes the unique needs and preferences of each individual, and seeks to create a personalized care plan that addresses their specific concerns.

This approach requires a fundamental shift in the way healthcare is delivered. It means moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach to care, and instead adopting a more holistic and patient-centered model. This includes listening to patients’ concerns, involving them in decision-making, and providing access to information and resources that empower them to make informed choices about their health. One key aspect of a patient-driven approach is a focus on preventive care. This means working with patients to identify potential health risks and providing guidance on how to manage them.

It also involves educating patients on the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and helping them to develop the skills and tools they need to maintain their health over the long-term.Another critical aspect of patient-driven care is communication. This means ensuring that patients have access to the information they need to make informed decisions about their health.

It also involves establishing clear lines of communication between patients and healthcare providers, so that patients can ask questions, express concerns, and receive the support they need. In conclusion, a patient-driven approach is essential to delivering high-quality healthcare. By putting patients at the center of care, we can ensure that each individual receives the personalized, compassionate, and effective care they deserve.

Urgent Treatment Centres

Our organization operates urgent care centers and urgent treatment centers throughout England, delivering prompt, accessible, and specialized medical attention to any NHS patient suffering from non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. All of our services are free of charge at the point of delivery.

Our proficient team of medical professionals, comprising doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers, collaborate with the hospital or trust to triage patients arriving at the emergency department, ensuring that each individual obtains the critical care they require.

In our Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), we provide care, guidance, and knowledge for a variety of minor ailments and injuries. Our waiting period is often significantly shorter than that of the emergency department, and patients receive treatment based on priority rather than order of arrival.
